Just as the United Nations puts it, capacity-building is the process of developing and strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, processes, and resources that organizations and communities need to survive, adapt, and thrive in a fast-changing world. Tirap Youth Trust strongly believes in building and strengthening the skills and abilities of Ogiek Youths in Kenya, a community that is characterized by marginalization, limited access to social amenities such as schools, health facilities, etc., poor political representation, and have suffered long historical land injustices. Strengthening these youths will enable them to face the world with confidence as they struggle to meet their ends.
